CHINA. Zhou Dynasty. Warring States Period. State of Qi. Three Character Knife Money, ND (ca. 400-220 B.C.). VERY FINE.
Hartill-4.6m; Jen-26; S-45. Weight: 50.37 gms. "Qi Fa Hua" (Qi legal money); Reverse: "Che". Minor earthen deposits in the protected areas with evidence of being cleaned long ago as is commonly found on these types long since toned over matching he rest of the piece. Also, it appears that the very end of the tip has chipped off somewhat blunting the pointed end of the knife mentioned for accuracy. Despite its shortcomings a nicely preserved example of the type with clear characters, sharp raised edges, and handsome dark patina.

Estimate: $600.00- $800.00
