Kann-B25; KMX-M227, WS-1349-67. A popular fantasy issue depicting Empress Tzu Hsi inside a border of bats on the obverse and a peacock motif in the reverse centers. A VERY SCARCE issue, this entirely charming example remains mostly untoned in the centers with blue, mauve and gold tone situated within the peripheral designs. Equal in grade to the John Jay Pittman specimen that we sold in March 2019 (Hong Kong, lot 60708) for $10,200.
