L&M-536; K-425; KM-Y-183a.1; WS-0431. Variety with dot inside Manchu script and "CAINDARINƧ". This shimmering example--tied with just one other for the finest graded in the NGC census--offers steely gray surfaces with a high degree of lustrous brilliance and only a few scattered marks in the fields. The toning features a golden-amber hue, and takes on more of a role toward the peripheries and around the central devices. Far superior and much more appealing to one's eyes than an NGC MS-61, which realized a total of $8,400 in our May Hong Kong auction earlier this year (lot 42261).
