L&M-498; KM-Y-213.2. DDO (Double Die Obverse) variety. A VERY RARE and dramatic DDO, notable especially on the peripheral legend, but also appearing on the dragon itself. There is almost a complete separation of the doubled lettering in some areas, with the second (and bolder) impression rotated several millimeters clockwise. A wholesome and sharply struck coin with steel gray toning throughout.
