CHINA. Szechuan. 20 Cash, ND (1903-05). PCGS MS-64 Brown Gold Shield.
CL-SC.74; KM-Y-230; Duan-1993; CCC-388. Variety with top stroke of "yuan" at steep angle, small compact dragon and wishful clouds "(Rú Yì Yún Lóng)". Tied for finest certified of the variety with two other examples for the "Brown" designation on the PCGS population report, only surpassed by a single piece (PCGS MS 65 RB). A sharply struck and very attractive survivor with hints of original mint red in the protected areas. Upon close inspection the smooth chocolate brown surfaces reveal minor trivial marks consistent for the grade. When tilting this delightful example in the light the remaining original mint red pops out adding to its eye appeal. A lovely representative of the type with a good look destined for an advanced collector with a fine cabinet.
Estimate: $3000.00- $4000.00
