(t) CHINA--EMPIRE. Ta-Ching Government Bank. 1 Dollar, 1906. P-A75P. PMG Very Fine 25.
(S/M#T10). Printed by CMPA. Yunnan. English on face with Chinese on reverse. A supremely rare note that is found in appealing Very Fine grade. The original printed issued place of "Kalgan" has been overprinted with a thin red line, with "Yunnan" printed below it in red ink. The face of the note displays an ornate border design, which is in dark blue ink, along with arms at top of above center in dark blue ink. The reverse displays an ornate design at center in a light purple ink, with an intricate green border design. Seen with red overprints on the reverse as well. Just two 10 Dollar notes from this branch have surfaced in auctions, with no One Dollar notes appearing in public auctions. Scarce, and we expect to see spirited bidding on this note as notes of this caliber are tightly held onto, and it may be sometime before this note trades hands again. PMG lists this note as the sole encapsulated for the pick variety. PMG Pop 1/None finer.

Estimate: $20000.00- $25000.00
