(t) CHINA--PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC. People's Bank of China. 200 Yuan, 1949. P-839. Uncompleted Note. PCGS Banknote About Uncirculated 55.
(KHJ-C134a). An uncompleted example of this 1949 200 Yuan note, which displays virtually the same printing on the obverse as the production note, minus the block, serial numbers and stamps. The reverse of the note however is drastically different compared to the note which eventually went into production. The "200" counters are found at left, right and center, with a date within a rectangle at bottom. Detailed lathe work is found throughout the design on the reverse. Scarcely encountered and is sure to be the centerpiece of any early PRC collection.
