Phrygia, Apameia. Ca. 88-40 B.C. AE 24 (22.8 mm, 10.75 g, 12 h). Andronikos, son of Alkios, magistrate. Bust of Athena right wearing Corinthian style helmet / [A]ΠAM[EΩN] - [A]NΔPON[IKOY] / AΛKIO[Y], ethnic above and magistrate's name beneath eagle alighting right on meander pattern between caps of the Dioscuri, star above eagle and each cap. SNG Copenhagen 163; BMC 37-9; HGC 7, 670. VF, somewhat "rusty-looking" reddish brown patina, partially removed.
