Rabindranath Tagore, Typed Letter on Santi-Niketan Letterhead, 25th July 1931, Signed on 2nd page in English, this two-page letter was sent in English to His Highness of Bhopal using Tagore's letterhead from Visva-Bharati, Santinikethan, Bengal, with its logo stamped in blue ink at top right, 173x228mm, excellent condition, Extremely Rare.
Printed English text on this two-page letter reads - "July 25, 1931, To, His Highness The Nawab Bahadur of Bhopal, Bhopal. Your Highness, Allow me to convey to you my grateful appreciation of your kind hospitality during my visit to Bhopal which has been a most delightful experience for me. Your keen interest and sympathy for the work which I have started here has greatly strengthened me and I am looking forward to the gracious help which your Highness has so generously promised to extend to my Institution in the near future.
I am afraid my companions, not knowing the exact nature of my visit, have inadvertently accepted certain privileges on my behalf which were hardly permissible under the circumstances. But since it is too late now, I am obliged to content myself by thanking Your Highness for your extended cordiality. Please remember me to Mr. Mohamed Shoaib Quaraishi whom I was very glad to meet again during my recent visit to your State.
