BOEOTIA. Thebes. Circa 425-395 BC. Stater (Silver, 23 mm, 12.00 g). Boeotian shield with club across upper half. Rev. [Θ]-E Bearded head of Dionysos to right, wearing wreath of ivy and fruit; all within incuse square. BCD Boiotia 444 (same dies). Traité III, 241 and pl. CC, 9 (same reverse die). Nicely toned and of fine style. The reverse somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
