EUBOIA. Chalkis. Circa 338-308 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.66 g, 9 h). Head of the nymph Chalkis to right, her hair in a roll and wearing pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. XAΛ Eagle flying right, grasping serpent with his talons that coils around his body; to left, monogram of ZH. BCD Euboia 138. Picard 8. Beautifully toned and struck in high relief. Very light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
