PAPHLAGONIA. Sinope. Circa 330-300 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 5.64 g, 2 h), a contemporary imitation. Head of the nymph Sinope to left, her hair bound in a sakkos; to left, aphlaston. Rev. ZNΩA (sic!) Sea-eagle with spread wings standing left on a dolphin to left; to right above, Ab (sic!). Cf. HGC 7, 391 and SNG Stancomb 761-769 (for prototype). An interesting and attractive contemporary imitation, stylistically close to the original but with blundered legends. About extremely fine.
