KINGS OF BITHYNIA. Prusias II Cynegos, 182-149 BC. AE (Bronze, 31 mm, 14.11 g, 1 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet. Rev. ΒAΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΠPOYΣIOY Nike advancing left, crowning the king's name with her right hand and holding stylis in her left; in inner left field, piloi of the Dioskouroi above monogram. RG 29 var. (two monograms). SNG Copenhagen -. SNG von Aulock 6885. Rare and unusually attractive, with a lovely green patina. Minor adjustment marks as made and with some breaks in patina on the edge, otherwise, good very fine.
