LYCIA. Tlos. Circa 400-380 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 8.06 g, 4 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. 𐊗𐊍𐊀/𐊇-𐊆 ('Tlawi' in Lycian) Two seated panthers confronted, heads facing and raising forepaws; between them, spiral symbol. Müseler VII, 15 = SNG von Aulock 4185 (same dies). Extremely rare. A beautifully toned coin with a wonderful reverse composition. Slightly granular, otherwise, about extremely fine.
