CILICIA. Holmoi. Circa 380-375 BC. Obol (Silver, 11 mm, 0.60 g, 4 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet. Rev. OΛMITAN Laureate head of Apollo Sarpedonios to right. CNG 70 (2005), 318. SNG Levante 34 var. (Apollo diademed and with differing ethnic). SNG Paris 121 var. (Apollo diademed and with differing ethnic). Very rare. Beautifully toned and struck on a broad flan. A few light marks, otherwise, good very fine.

From the Kleinkunst Collection, ex Lanz 149, 24 June 2010, 235 (misdescribed).

This coin differs from most other issues from Holmoi in that the ethnic ends on the Doric genitive plural -AN, as opposed to the much more common Attic ending on -ON.
