Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 10.49 g, 7 h). 𐡁𐡏𐡋𐡕𐡓𐡆 ('b'ltrs' in Aramaic) Baaltars seated right on backless throne, holding eagle-tipped scepter in his right hand and grape bunch and grain ear in his left; below throne, facing boukranion; in background, thymiaterion; all within crenellated border. Rev. 𐡕𐡊𐡓𐡌𐡅 ('trdmw' in Aramaic) Datames seated right, wearing Persian dress and testing arrow; to upper right, winged solar disk; to right, bow. Casabonne series 2. SNG Levante 88. SNG Paris 284-288. Beautifully toned and without the porosity that usually plagues this series. Nearly extremely fine.
