SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Demetrios II Nikator, first reign, 146-138 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.68 g, 1 h), Antiochia on the Orontes, SE 167 = 146/5. Diademed head of Demetrios II to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ΔHMHTPIOY - ΘEOY / ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦOY / NIKATOPOΣ Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to outer left, palm branch; in inner left field, monogram of ΠA; in exergue, 𐤆ΞP Θ. SC 1906.5b. Nicely toned. A few light scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
