LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 300-250 BC. AE (Bronze, 12 mm, 1.71 g, 11 h). Head of Pan to right, wearing laurel wreath and a goat-skin tied around his neck. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right; above leaf, syrinx. Johnston, Bronze, 43a. HN Italy 1678. A charming little coin with a beautiful green patina. Extremely fine.
