LUCANIA. Poseidonia. Circa 530-500 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 3.50 g, 12 h). ΠΟM-E Poseidon, nude but for chlamys over his shoulders, striding right, brandishing a trident held in his right hand; border of dots. Rev. ΠΟM-E Poseidon, as on the obverse, but incuse; rayed border. HN Italy 1108. Jameson 332 (same obverse die). SNG ANS 625 (same obverse die). SNG Lloyd 433 (same obverse die). Very rare. Beautifully toned and of fine style. Slightly rough, otherwise, good very fine.
