Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned, on the bowl, with Skylla throwing a stone; on neckguard, EY. Rev. ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ Bull butting to right; in exergue, ΦΑ. HN Italy 1885. SNG ANS -. SNG Ashmolean 1005. Beautifully toned and with a very old pedigree. Minor deposits on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
