AEOLIS. Myrina. 4th century BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13 mm, 2.00 g, 12 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. M-Y Head of Artemis facing three-quarters to left, wearing pendant earrings and elaborate necklace, and with quiver over her shoulder; to right, grain stalk. SNG Copenhangen 213 var. (spearhead not grain stalk on reverse). SNG München -, cf. 567 (Athena wearing Attic helmet and no grain stalk on the reverse). Solidus 19 (2017), 140 (same dies). SNG Turkey -. SNG von Aulock -. Extremely rare. Beautifully toned and with a fine pedigree. A few light marks, otherwise, good very fine.
