Titus, 79-81. Semis (Orichalcum, 20 mm, 5.85 g, 7 h), uncertain mint in the East (in Thrace or Bithynia?), 80-81. IMP T CAESAR DIVI VESPAS F AVG Laureate head of Titus to right. Rev. IVD - CAP / S - C Judaea, veiled and in attitude of mourning, seated to left under a palm tree, propping her head on her right hand; to right, helmet, two spears and shield. BMC 259 corr. (shield misdescribed as yoke and omitting helmet and spears). Cohen 112 corr. (omitting spears). RIC 504 corr. (shield misdescribed as yoke and omitting helmet and spears). Beautiful green patina. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
