UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. 'Aureus' (Gold, 20 mm, 5.82 g, 12 h), 'Derived Gordian Group B'. MNOV MININ Laureate, draped and cuirassed imperial bust to right, seen from behind. Rev. VNIP IIINИPИ Uncertain figure seated right, holding spear in his right hand and patera in his left. Aurum Barbarorum I, 794 (same dies). Holed and with minor scrapes, otherwise, very fine.

This is a double-die match to lot 1879 above and Aurum Barbarorum I, 794, however, it was not struck but cast from a struck host coin.
