UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. 'Aureus' (Electrum, 22 mm, 6.22 g, 4 h), 'Derived Gordian Group C'. NOIIION- YVIOHYOII Laureate, draped and cuirassed imperial bust to left, seen from behind. Rev. NIONIIIII[OH.] Female figure advancing right, holding cornucopiae in her right hand and uncertain object in her left. An exceptionally sharp and well preserved piece. Holed and with traces of mounting on the obverse and fire damage on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.

From the Aurum Barbarorum Collection.

What makes this coin particularly interesting is that while it shares both dies with lot 1883 above, this example was struck in electrum instead of gold.
