Circa 4th-6th centuries. Weight of 1 Nomisma (Bronze, 21 mm, 4.39 g, 7 h), a serrated coin weight for a solidus made from a diassarion of Geta from Siocharax. [ΠO CЄΠTI ΓЄTAC KAI] Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta to right, seen from behind. Rev. [ЄΠI // ΦIΛ]ICKOY AIΔ/[OYX // MOΞЄANΩN] CIOXAPAKЄI/TΩN Kybele seated left, holding tympanon in her right hand and leaning left on drum; to left and right, lion. For coin type, cf. Von Aulock, Phrygien I, -, cf. 899 (same reverse die, but for Septimius Severus) and 904-907 (same obverse die, but differing reverse). A beautifully serrated coin weight made from a hitherto unpublished Provincial issue. Very fine.
