Draped bust of Victory right, wearing pendant earring and necklace, hair tied in knot at back / C•VAL•FLA-IMPERAT (VAL ligate), aquila right between two standards inscribed H (Hastati) and P (Principes); EX•-S•C across fields. From the Bacchus Collection

This issue was struck by Flaccus while proconsul in Gaul, and is associated with the first moves made by Sulla against Q. Sertorius in Spain. The symbolism on the reverse is simply that of a military victory.
