Crawford (written in 1974) assigns this coin to 78 BC. The chronological order for 78 BC to 51 BC was restructured by Charles Hersh and Alan Walker's in their essay "The Mesagne Hoard", which appeared in the ANA's publication "Museum Notes" in 1984, and moved this issue to 75 BC.
