SCOTLAND 1692. William and Mary: (Ag) Forty Shillings (S 5651): Obverse: Conjoined busts facing left, value below, legend and toothed border surrounding both sides. Reverse: Crowned quartered shield of arms, with an escutcheon of the Lion of Nassau, date in legend, edge inscribed in raised letters and dated QUATRO, the last letter incomplete and like a C due to collar slippage in strike. Some light adjustment marks on the obverse.
