Electrotype: Sicily, Syracuse AR Tetradrachm. Unknown maker, likely British Museum electrotype. Time of the Second Democracy, 413-405 BC. British Museum electrotype; stamped MB (Latin initials of Museum). Reverse die signed by Eukleidas. Charioteer, wearing long chiton, holding torch in extended right hand and reins in left, driving fast quadriga to left; above, Nike flying to right, crowning charioteer with wreath held in extended hands; grain ear to left in exergue / Head of Athena facing slightly to left, wearing triple-crested helmet adorned with palmettes, double-spiral earrings, and necklace; ΕΥΚΛΕΙΔΑ [artist's signature] on bowl of helmet, four dolphins and [Σ]ΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ around.
