Cyprus, uncertain mint AR Stater. 5th-4th century BC. Recumbent lioness or sphinx with human head(?), within dotted border / Zebu standing right, within square dotted border in shallow incuse square. The obverse seems to be inspired by the recumbent male lion staters of Amathos (BMC pl. I, 1-15 and the reverse by the Zebu-like cattle of Paphos, cf. Traité pl. CXXXIV, 3-4.
