Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Shilling, 8 February 1599 - 30 April 1600, Sixth Coinage, Tower, bust 6B, 5.89g, 4h, m.m. anchor (straight flukes to right) (BCW AN-2b/b2; N.2014; S.2577), flan split at 12 o'clock, pecking to portrait and graffito above shield, otherwise an important mintmark for the Shilling series, this clear and sharply struck up, a bolder fine, very rare.
