Lucania, Metapontion (c. 300-250 BC), Æ 16mm, head of Dionysos left, rev. grain ear with bud, META to left, crossed torch to right (BMC pp. 264, no. 202.; Johnston, 'The Bronze Coinage of Metapontum', 47; HN Italy 1683; SNG ANS 590), rich dark patina with minor spots of verdigris to reverse, otherwise good very fine, a handsome example.
