Edged Weapon: Deutscher Luftsport Verband DLV flyers knife. An extremely rare dagger that preceded the 1st model Luftwaffe Dagger with the early 1933-34 Eickhorn Proof mark, on the short double edged blade. Metal fittings are nickel plated the wood grip & scabbard a dark blue leather. The scabbard shows signs of wear but still in VGC the grip in unmarked. Black enamel swastikas are inset on the front & rear of the sloping ridged crossguard. The DLV spread wing insignia is stamped on the scabbard throat. A leather & metal belt hanger is fitted. Extremely rare. Genuine
