Goggles: 1939-45 Royal Airforce Flying Goggles Mark IIIa (RAF code 22C/62). 'Temperate' version (as used by RAAF. In desert & tropical campaigns) with 'trumpet' shaped lens vents & omission of the wide leather surrounds. Curved celluloid lenses in blackened copper frames with brown velvet backing. Leather strap, adjustable, with spring loaded cloth leaders. Stamped: 'AM (& crown) 22C/62 - 347652/34'. Damage to springs & to bridge-hinge. VGC. overall but requires some TLC
