The Vergulde Draeck or Gilt Dragon
Spain: Segovia mint Philip IV (1)636R 8 Reales machine struck mm aqueduct, cut in half. Due to a shortage of smaller denominations. KM-111. West Australian Museum certificate no.13194. This coin would have been part of money in the possession of passengers or crew, not from the treasure chests. Struck Segovia 8 Reales are very rare, such a cut coin is possibly unique. (P)
