Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; herm to outer left, two monograms to inner left. Thompson -. Müller -. HGC 3, 1750a. Meydancikkale 2595-2596 var. (same upper monogram). Seyrig casts (ANS photofile) 180.1 and 188.8. Cf. CNG eAuction 342 (2015) lot 99 and Nomos Obolos 8 (2017) lot 165 for same dies. Very Fine; attractively toned; good style.

From an American collection formed in the 1950's with coins purchased from major London houses at the time.
