Clemence Isaure was a legendary figure who was credited with founding or restoring the Academia dels Jocs Florals or Academy of the Floral Games in Toulouse in the late Middle Ages. These games, organized in Toulouse, bring together poets and musicians under the aegis of the nymph Flore. The Académie des Jeux Floraux has had such prestigious members as Ronsard, Marmontel, Chateaubriand, Voltaire, Alfred de Vigny, Victor Hugo and Frédéric Mistral.
