North Italian (late 16thcentury), Caesonia, Domitia, Terentia and Titus, four oval bronze plaquettes, comprising head of Caesonia (wife of Caligula) right (cf. Bange 198), twice pierced, head of Domitia (wife of Domitian) left, head of an unnamed empress left (Albia Terentia, mother of Otho), and head of Titus left, c. 56 x 43mm, from a series of portraits of Roman emperors and empresses (cf. Scaglia I.36-43, especially 36-37), contemporary casts, very fine (4).
