Watch List notes:

CARIA. Kaunos. Circa 430-410 BC. Stater (Silver, 23 mm, 11.70 g, 12 h). Winged female goddess moving to left, her head turned back to right, holding a wreath in both hands and a kerykeion in her right. Rev. 𐊼 (= the letter K in Carian) Triangular baetyl flanked by two bunches of grapes hanging from tendrils. Konuk 96 (O38/R37). Very attractively toned, well-struck and nicely centered. Good very fine.

From the collection of W. Belser, Zürich, prior to 1965, and that of his son, acquired in the early 1970s, and with its original Bank Leu ticket dated 29 September 1970.
