CARIA. Knidos. Circa 449-411 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 6.26 g, 2 h). Forepart of lion to right, with open jaws and outstretched right paw. Rev. Diademed head of Aphrodite to right, her hair tied at the back in a pony tail; all within an incuse square. Cahn 90 (V43/R61). SNG Keckman 137 (same dies). One of the most artistic and stylish drachms of Cahn's Group V. Well-struck, well-centered and attractively toned. Extremely fine.
