Titus with Domitian, as Caesars, under Vespasian, 69-79. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 17.5 mm, 3.61 g, 6 h). Uncertain mint in Asia Minor. ΤΙΤΤω ΚΑΙΣΑΡΙ Laureate head of Titus to left. Rev. ΔΟΜEΤΤΙΑΝω ΚΑΙΣΑΡΙ Laureate head of Dometian to right. RPC II 2813. RPC Online 2813.3 (this coin). Extremely rare (one of only four coins known). With a lovely, glossy, dark green patina. Good very fine.

From the Brett Telford Collection, USA, ex Agora 73, 27 March 2018, 201.

The appearance of an extra T in Titus's name argues for an engraver who was unsure of the Greek spelling. In any case, the use of the dative rather than the usual nominative is worthy of note.
