Hadrian (AD 117-138). AV aureus (21mm, 7.11 gm, 6h). NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 4/5, light scratches. Rome, AD 136. HADRIANVS-AVG COS III P P, bare head of Hadrian right / SECVRI-TAS AVG, Securitas, bare to waist, seated left on throne with cornucopias as arms, resting head on left hand, left arm resting on back of throne, right arm around arm of throne. RIC II 273. RIC II.3 2233 (same dies as illustration). Calicó 1377 (same rev. die as illustration). Bright and lustrous, with detailed portrait and interesting reverse die composition.
