Pedro I gold 6400 Reis 1825-B MS62 Prooflike NGC, Bahia mint, KM370.2, LMB-606. The first date of only three (1825, 1826 and 1828) of this type to be produced at the Bahia mint, this "Military Bust" 6400 Reis was struck in response to the emperor's dissatisfaction with the famed 1822 coronation type and presents Pedro I in inspired fashion, dressed in full uniform. Truly, the feature that renders the present selection exceptionally alluring is its stellar Prooflike surfaces, the fields layered in scintillating reflectivity that holds tangerine toning contrasts, these set against features remaining utterly sharp at every angle of inspection. Even a cursory glance reveals a shimmering brilliance that flows across the surfaces, marking the offering as more than just Mint State in quality.
