An extravagant type and quite fitting as the debut of Pistrucci's St. George reverse on Victoria's sovereigns, certifying very near to the peak of achievable quality for the issue, as indicated by just one 65+ and one 66 in the PCGS population report. Notable for its absence from the famed Bentley Collection, this is the first example we have had the privilege to offer, with a thick layer of mint frost and a profusion of die polish lines in the fields marking it as a clear target for all serious collectors of Proof British gold.
