Laureate head of Apollo right / ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ, charioteer driving galloping biga right, kentron in right hand, reins in left; TI in left field. Le Rider -. SNG ANS -. Apparently unpublished.
From the James Dines "Original Goldbug" Collection. Ex Bonhams, Auction 22460 (14 September 2015), lot 23
This is an artistic issue with no exergual line. Also, the die shift is fascinating and adds to the eye appeal of the coin as the first strike was so far offset, the royal name is visible on the rim at 6h. There are no issues listed in Le Rider with TI in the field, however, it is a common series mark on Colophon issues under Alexander III and later. Also, Colophon produced fine style dies under Philip III with a tripod and no exergual line.
