Ferdinand I Taler 1843-A MS65 Prooflike NGC, Vienna mint, KM2240. Light mottled tone with watery reflective fields. Though designated as "Prooflike" by NGC, it is possible that this piece may be a Proof or Specimen striking; as there is very little documentation of the striking of such pieces in this period in Austria (or, similarly, in Germany), it is often a matter of personal opinion whether or not a piece with the present appearance may be designated as such.
