Republic gold 8 Scudos 1837 PTS-LM AU55 NGC, Potosi mint, KM99, Onza-1583. A quite sharp entry for the usual flatness of the series, not struck the least bit off-center with full edge denticles and especially lustrous peripheries. While handling is evident over the central regions, it does relatively little to diminish the overall eye appeal, which remains strong both for the type and grade.
