Menelik II Specimen 1/8 Birr EE 1887 (1895)-A SP63 PCGS, Paris mint, KM2, Gill-Y-6. Only a two-year type, and usually the only truly attainable of those two dates, though this issue escalates considerably in rarity at the Specimen level. Clearly struck from heavily polished dies and possessed of a wonderfully captivating eye appeal, we note that a PR63 of this denomination brought $1560 in our January NYINC sale.
