Louis XV gold Louis d'Or 1719/8-D UNC Details (Reverse Spot Removed) NGC, Paris mint, cf. KM438.6 (overdate unlisted), Gad-336 (R2; same), Jones-2766. An apparently unpublished overdate for this mint, although we have previously offered examples of the 1719/8 from Paris and Aix, struck in brilliant uncirculated quality with only some minor haymarks on the obverse and ghosting of the bust on the reverse. We have been unable to locate the reverse spot removal, even under high magnification.
