Though most commonly known as the father of Empress Elisabeth of Austria ("Sisi") and the great-grandfather of King Leopold III of Belgium, Duke Maximilian Joseph in Bavaria was also a highly active figure within the social circles of the Bavarian folk-music genre. An extremely rare striking in gold, and deeply prooflike with brilliant cameo contrast.
